The Piscataqua River Brass brings a unique musical
voice to the Seacoast. This ensemble brings the
high-powered sound of massed brass instruments and
percussion to their audience through six hundred years of
music. From the classic brass sound of Gabrieli and other
Renaissance masters, through the music of the Baroque,
Classical and Romantic era, to works for brass choir by
modern composers, this group of talented regional brass
and percussion players strives to delight their audiences
with varied programs of the best music for brass.
The
Piscataqua River Brass is under the direction of Matt
Doiron, who, in addition to his many years of wind and
orchestral conducting experience, is an accomplished
trumpet player, performing in many bands, orchestras, and
brass quintets throughout northern New England.
Piscataqua River Brass sets out to provide the Seacoast
region and beyond with the finest programs, ranging from
the most formal of classical concerts to fun-filled
traditional POPS concerts, and with the ensemble ranging
in size from six to twenty performers, the Piscataqua
River Brass also allows the flexibility for all types of
occasions.
